It does not include a CD cutter (why do people even need that?), and it costs nearly as much as larger beefier shredders. Using this at a busy accounting office would be a huge pain in the rear. The bucket will only hold so much paper before it is full. It is very small, it will not accept full size paper unless you fold it in half first, and will only accept 4 standard weight sheets at a time. Since it seems they have fixed the improper listing issue people were having before, and the USB is indeed now included, the only issue I could still see anyone having is with the small size and capacity of this shredder. It is no wimp either, despite claiming to only be a 1 Amp port, it easily charged some of my devices that other "1 Amp" chargers fail on, and that usually require beefier 2+ Amp chargers. Not only does it fully live up to my expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by the included USB port. I bought this fully expecting it NOT to have the USB port, but I didn't really care about that, and just wanted a really sleek and small shredder that could safely dispose of my financial documents without taking up a lot of space in my small apartment or being an eyesore. Unlike the other reviewers, mine arrived WITH the USB port on the side. If you are looking for a compact, basic shredder, I would recommend this one. Even before I saw the insert, I figured this was the case, at it did not seem used at all. However, there is an insert in the manual that clearly explains that these are remnants from product testing. As others have commented, it did come with a few paper shreddings already inside.
It has a very quiet motor, and I do get the sense that if you exceeded capacity, the motor would not be able to handle it, so I am very careful to stay within that capacity. I use it mostly to shred old credit card receipts, so it can handle quite a few at a time since they do not need to be folded. It takes 4 folded sheets, so technically, it takes a thickness of 8 sheets (if they are small, unfolded papers). I would have preferred a shredder that takes unfolded 8.5x11" paper, but I`m willing to make that compromise for the compact size. So I wanted the option of securely disposing of my personal documents without a large footprint, and this device satisfies that need perfectly. My laptop sits on my coffee table and other office electronics (printer, shredder) sit in the corner of the living room, on the floor beside my couch. I live in a one-bedroom condo and I do not have separate office space. I use my usual USB chargers for charging my devices. I am assuming that the previous complaints were from a time when old stock was being sent out? The unit that I received does have a USB port as advertised, however, I do not find it particularly useful since I do not keep the unit plugged in when not in use. The product that was delivered to me was exactly as advertised.
